Opened in September 2011, the Aikido Club du Baou seeks to diversify its approach to Aikido.
The teaching is based on the transmission of Saotome Sensei, Shihan and one of the last living Uchi Deshi of the founder of Aikido, Morihei Ueshiba.

While respecting the French current of our discipline, we emphasize martial arts, the work of weapons, fluidity as well as the primordial philosophical and psychological aspect of our art.
We also try to open our discipline to other disciplines: Iaido, Kendo, Self Defense, Systema.

In July 2018, the Aikido Club of Baou joined Saotome Sensei's organization, Aikido School of Ueshiba (ASU), thus formalizing the transmission of his teaching.
Since then, a close link has been established between the USA and the club, and some of the students have obtained their AikikaÏ grade through the ASU organization.

The club, also affiliated to the FFAAA and preparing for the UFA ranks, must therefore respect two currents close but distinct from Aikido.

The Baou Aikido Club organized from 2014 to 2019, the Nice International Aikido Seminar with Hiroshi IKEDA Shihan.
